During their first year at VICE, Mark designed the audio post workflow for the Emmy Award-winning VICE News Tonight. They trained teams in post-production editorial, broadcast engineering, and field and studio production across international bureaus to produce quality audio optimized for Adobe products and the rapid turnaround time of breaking news. Mark led and contributed to a team of finishing operators, including Colorists, Online Editors, Audio Engineers, Sound Editors, Re-Recording Mixers, Composers, Sound Designers, and Location Mixers, who handled tasks such as color correction, recording, mixing, composing original music, sound design, and final deliverables for media across all VICE Media Group platforms.

NAB Presentation - Adobe Stage: Optimizing Post Finishing Workflow for Large-Scale Media
In April of 2019 I attended NAB in Las Vegas and gave a series of presentations and interviews on the workflow I developed in audio post finishing entirely in Adobe Premiere Pro for VICE NEWS Tonight on HBO. With Adobe Premiere Pro, we have seen some remarkable gains reducing mix time by over 80% while delivering Emmy award winning content for our nightly thirty minute show.
Above is a recording of my presentation at the Adobe stage detailing how the workflow came together, how we organize as a team and the engineering design features that allow us to deliver a rapid turnaround nightly news show in a documentary style format.
